Types of Blocks and its Details (Interlocking Blocks)
TOUGHIE interlocking blocks are mainly used for wall construction and available in two variants
CONCRETE INTERLOCKING BLOCKS
- TOUGHIE concrete blocks are super finished light grey high-density high strength blocks with heavy load bearing capacity. These blocks are manufactured with a mixture of crusher dust, Ordinary Portland Cement, 6 MM baby metal (aggregate) and water by using dual compression hydraulic technology developed by TOUGHIE. The blocks are construction ready after 7 days of water curing.
- Advantages of concrete interlocking block is that it simplifies the construction as well as reduce the time from conception to completion of the project.
- The biggest advantage of concrete interlocking blocks is that it doesn’t require plastering. Wall putty can be directly applied to produce a superfine finish wall construction. These blocks can be used for the construction of high-rise building and can bring in significant reduction in material handling cost and the efforts involved therein.
- Due to the high load bearing capacity compared to the conventional blocks the residential projects or up to two storied buildings can constructed without pillars and beams resulting in optimized construction costs and timing.
- Concealed wiring and plumbing work can be done on the interlocking block walls just like the normal walls.
- CURRENTLY AVAILABLE SIZES

SOIL INTERLOCKING BLOCKS
- Soil interlocking variant of TOUGHIE blocks are manufactured by hydraulic compression of a mixture of laterite soil and ordinary Portland cement. The blocks are water cured for 7 days before being construction ready and shipped to site.
- After wall construction a coat of waterproof painting and a thin layer of cement plastering is applied outside the mud brick to increase its strength and prevent water from seeping in.
